Spring in the British Countryside: Walks, Lambs, Bluebells & Wild Garlic recipes
There’s something special about spring in the British countryside, a quiet shift that gently transforms everything around us.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been embracing slower days and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Early morning walks with a cool breeze in the air, and soft golden evenings that stretch a little longer each day. It’s in these moments that you begin to notice the true beauty of the season.
Bluebells, Lambs & Changing Seasons
The woodlands are now filled with bluebells, creating that unmistakable sea of violet that carpets the forest floor for such a short time each year. It’s one of spring’s most magical sights, fleeting, delicate, and always worth seeking

Across the fields, lambs are beginning to appear, full of life and energy, bringing a sense of renewal to the landscape. And while the daffodils that once signalled the start of spring are now fading, they make way for this next chapter - softer, greener, and full of new growth.

Wild Garlic Season & A Simple Spring Recipe
One of our favourite parts of this time of year is wild garlic season. Found along woodland paths and riverbanks, its fresh, green scent fills the air before you even spot it.
Back home, we love turning it into something simple and comforting. This wild garlic soup has become a seasonal favourite, fresh, warming, and incredibly easy to make.

It’s a beautiful way to bring the outdoors into your kitchen and make the most of what’s growing right

Bringing the Outdoors In With Scent
At Botanic & Wild, these seasonal moments are the inspiration behind everything we create. Our candles are designed to reflect the feeling of being outdoors, so you can bring that sense of calm, freshness, and connection into your home.
Morning Mist captures those early spring walks perfectly - fresh, dewy, and softly awakening. Notes of juniper berry, eucalyptus, and woods echo the stillness of the countryside before the day begins.
For a greener, more invigorating feel, fresh herbal and mint-led scents - like wild mint blends — reflect crushed leaves underfoot and cool, clean air moving through the trees.
Energise brings a brighter side of spring into your space. With uplifting citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin balanced by soft florals, it mirrors those moments when sunlight breaks through and lifts your mood.
Uplift is all about lightness and positivity - inspired by longer days, open skies, and that feeling of everything beginning again.
And as the day comes to a close, Rest offers a slower, more calming moment. Lavender, chamomile, and gentle florals recreate that sense of returning home after a long walk, ready to unwind.
Soft, clean florals like white lavender blends feel especially at home during spring - comforting, airy, and effortlessly calming.
Enjoying the British Countryside This Spring
Spring is a time to slow down, step outside, and reconnect with nature - whether that’s a woodland walk, a countryside stroll, or simply opening the windows and letting fresh air in.
It’s also a season for discovering small, independent shops, cafés and bakeries along the way. A good coffee, something freshly baked, and a moment to pause can turn a simple walk into something memorable.

A Season to Slow Down
Spring isn’t about rushing, it’s about noticing.
The scent of fresh air, the sound of birdsong, the colours returning to the landscape. These are the small details that make the season feel so special.
And when you can’t always be outside, bringing those moments home through scent can be just as meaningful, helping you create a space that feels calm, fresh, and connected to nature.
