As We Reach the Autumn Equinox 🍂
There’s a noticeable change in the air at this time of year.
The mornings are cooler, the evenings are beginning to draw in and the countryside is slowly taking on those deeper shades of autumn. There are still sunny afternoons and late-summer flowers to enjoy, but there’s a definite shift happening around us.
On 23 September, we reach the autumn equinox - the point when the Sun crosses the celestial equator and astronomical autumn begins in the Northern Hemisphere. Daylight and darkness are roughly equal around the equinox, although the actual day with equal hours of daylight and darkness comes a little later.
It feels like a natural turning point between seasons. Summer hasn't disappeared overnight, but autumn is beginning to make its presence known.
The changing season at home
As the evenings become darker, our homes naturally start to feel a little different too.
Candles begin to make their way back onto coffee tables and bedside tables. A reed diffuser brings fragrance into the hallway, while a home spray can quickly refresh a room before an evening at home.

Reminiscent of a late summer evening, Fresh Fig combines fresh green and fruity notes with rich, velvety tones. Juicy fig and blackcurrant sit alongside leafy greens, with creamy sandalwood, musk, cedar and amber creating a warm woody base.
It's rich and indulgent, with that feeling of late summer beginning to give way to autumn.
Cashmere
Cashmere is all about warmth and comfort. Rich sandalwood and exotic saffron open the fragrance, followed by earthy cedarwood and a subtle touch of clove. Amber, musk and vanilla add depth and sweetness before the fragrance settles into its soft, luxurious cashmere finish.

It's an unmistakably seasonal scent and one of our favourites for the darker evenings ahead.
Gardenia
For something floral, Gardenia brings a different side of autumn.
Inspired by the evergreen plant and its beautiful white flowers, this is a gentle yet intoxicating fragrance with a strong floral opening, slight sweetness and zest, green and creamy undertones, and a base of sweet musk.
With bergamot, orange blossom, grapefruit, magnolia, hyacinth, gardenia and midnight jasmine, it brings a little brightness to the changing season.
White Lavender
White Lavender is fresh, herbal and wonderfully versatile. It opens with aromatic lavender and Sicilian lemon, followed by white jasmine, lily, neroli and rose, before settling into tarragon and woods.
Inspired by the feeling of a secret garden, it's a calming and restorative fragrance that works beautifully throughout the home — particularly in living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Morning Mist
Then there's Morning Mist, inspired by an early autumn morning in the British countryside.
Juniper berry and sage bring a crisp herbal freshness, followed by eucalyptus and subtle woods. Sweet spearmint and dew finish the fragrance, capturing the feeling of mist hanging over fields as the day begins.
